LifeCue

Alarm & Reminders
Your life. Your reminders. Your voice.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 27/08/2026

Last updated: 27/08/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LifeCue ("LifeCue", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the LifeCue Android application ("App").

Privacy-first design: LifeCue is designed primarily as an on-device alarm and reminder application. Your alarms, reminders, scripts, routines, habits, settings and recordings are intended to remain on your device. LifeCue does not require an account for its core functionality and does not intentionally upload your user-created recordings, scripts, notes or other private content to LifeCue servers.

1. Information You Provide

Depending on the features you use, LifeCue may store information that you choose to enter or create, including:

This information is primarily stored locally on your device. LifeCue does not require you to provide personal information merely to use its core alarm functionality.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

LifeCue is designed as an offline-first application. Locally created alarms, scripts, routines, settings, habit information and recordings are intended to remain on your device unless you deliberately export them or a feature explicitly provides another transfer mechanism.

LifeCue does not currently require an account for its core functionality.

You should protect access to your device because anyone who can access an unlocked device may potentially access locally stored LifeCue content.

3. Analytics

LifeCue uses Google Analytics for Firebase ("Firebase Analytics") in supported versions of the App to understand how the App is used and to improve reliability, usability and features.

Depending on the App version, your region and your privacy choices, Firebase Analytics may process information such as:

Analytics data is used for the purpose of understanding App usage, measuring feature usage, improving the App and monitoring its performance.

LifeCue does not intentionally send your scripts, notes, recordings, alarm content, routine content or other private user-created content to Firebase Analytics as analytics data.

Regional availability and privacy controls

Analytics collection may vary according to your location, applicable privacy requirements and the privacy settings or consent mechanisms provided by the App.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, LifeCue is designed to apply the applicable consent and privacy controls before analytics collection where required.

Outside the EEA and UK, analytics may be enabled by default in versions of LifeCue that use this configuration, subject to the controls and choices provided by the App and applicable law.

Where LifeCue provides an in-App analytics or privacy setting, you can use that setting to change your analytics preference. You can also manage applicable Android permissions through Android system settings.

Firebase Analytics is provided by Google. Information processed by Google's services is subject to Google's applicable privacy terms and policies.

4. Alarm, Notification and Device Permissions

LifeCue may request Android permissions or system capabilities necessary for its core functionality, including, depending on the version and features:

Permissions are used for the functionality for which they are requested. LifeCue does not use microphone access to continuously listen to you.

5. Audio Recordings

If you use LifeCue's recording features, the audio you record is intended to be stored locally on your device for use within the App.

LifeCue does not intentionally upload your recordings to a LifeCue server or send them to Firebase Analytics.

If you explicitly export a recording, the exported file is under your control. You are responsible for where you subsequently store, share or transfer an exported file.

If a future version provides a feature that uploads recordings to an external service, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe that processing before or when the applicable feature is introduced, as required by law and platform policies.

6. Export and Backup

LifeCue may provide local export and backup functionality so that you can preserve your content or move it to another device.

Exported files are ordinary files under your control. Once saved or shared outside LifeCue, their subsequent handling is governed by the service, application, storage provider or person with whom you share them.

7. Data Sharing

LifeCue does not sell or rent your user-created scripts, notes, routines, recordings or other private content.

LifeCue does use third-party services such as Google Analytics for Firebase for the analytics purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Data processed by those services is limited to information needed for their disclosed functionality and is handled according to the applicable terms and privacy policies of those service providers.

LifeCue does not provide a public profile, social feed, community posting system or user-content publishing surface.

8. Advertising and Remove Ads

LifeCue may offer advertising-supported functionality and a one-time purchase to remove ads, depending on the version installed.

If third-party advertising is introduced or enabled in a version of LifeCue, advertising providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable platform requirements.

Appropriate consent and privacy controls will be provided where required by applicable law.

LifeCue will not intentionally place advertisements over the core alarm interaction in a way that prevents the user from responding to an alarm.

9. Crash Reporting and Diagnostics

LifeCue may include technical diagnostics or crash-reporting functionality in particular versions of the App. If such functionality is enabled, the relevant technical information may include crash-related information, diagnostic information and technical details about the App's operation.

Crash and diagnostic information is used to identify problems, improve stability and maintain the App.

LifeCue does not intentionally include your scripts, notes, recordings, alarm content or other private user-created content in crash reports.

The exact services and data collected by a particular version may vary. The applicable Play Store Data Safety disclosure and this Privacy Policy will be maintained to reflect the services actually enabled in the distributed version.

10. AI Features

LifeCue may support optional AI-assisted functionality in future versions, such as drafting or rewriting scripts.

AI functionality will depend on the provider and implementation used in the particular version. If user content is sent to an external AI provider, the relevant feature will disclose that processing before transmission and this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.

LifeCue does not currently require a LifeCue-operated AI server for its core functionality.

11. Built-in Sanskrit and Other Content

LifeCue may provide optional built-in scripts, affirmations, mantras, transliterations and other reference content. Accessing such built-in content does not by itself require collection of personal information.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored LifeCue data generally remains on your device until you delete it, remove the App, use an available delete function, or otherwise remove the relevant files.

Exported files are separate from the App and are not automatically deleted when you delete content inside LifeCue. Delete exported copies separately if you no longer want them.

Analytics and other technical data collected by third-party services may be retained according to the applicable configuration, service policies and legal requirements of those services.

Disabling analytics in LifeCue, where that control is available, stops future analytics collection by the App as configured. It does not necessarily erase information that was already processed by a third-party analytics provider.

If a future version introduces server-side accounts or cloud storage, this section will be updated to explain applicable server-side retention and deletion procedures.

13. Children's Privacy

LifeCue is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through an online account or server-side profile.

Because core functionality is primarily local, most user-created content remains on the device. If future functionality introduces online collection or account-based features, applicable child-privacy requirements will be reviewed and this policy updated.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the design of LifeCue to protect information handled by the App.

Network communications used by LifeCue's supported services are transmitted using the security mechanisms provided by the Android platform and the relevant service providers.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should use device security features such as a screen lock and take care when exporting or sharing personal content.

15. International Users

LifeCue may be made available internationally. Privacy rights and requirements vary by jurisdiction. Where applicable, we will provide legally required disclosures, consent mechanisms and privacy choices for users in relevant jurisdictions.

Where third-party analytics or other network services are used, information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you live, subject to applicable legal safeguards and the policies of the relevant service provider.

16. Your Privacy Choices

17. Third-Party Services

LifeCue may use third-party technology and service providers to support particular functions of the App. The services used in a distributed version may change over time.

For the current version, Firebase Analytics may be used for product analytics as described in this Privacy Policy.

Third-party providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. LifeCue is responsible for configuring the services used by the App consistently with applicable privacy requirements and the disclosures made to users.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when LifeCue's functionality, data practices, legal requirements or third-party services change.

The "Last updated" date will indicate when this Privacy Policy was most recently revised. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate means where required.
